Celebrating Ethiopian Christmas with Adoptive Families and Children Join EECD on Saturday, January 7, 2027, from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm as we celebrate Ethiopian Christmas (Genna) with adoptive families and children. Enjoy worship, a traditional coffee ceremony, a cultural showcase, Ethiopian lunch, and a Children's Corner with activities and face painting. We are a Christ-centered church committed to reaching the Ethiopian and Eritrean community, and the wider Denver and Aurora community, with the salvation, wholeness, and healing found in Christ.
What began in 1986 as a small fellowship of Ethiopian immigrants has grown into a church family serving adults, youth, and children of Ethiopian, Eritrean, and American heritage.

Ministries
Our Ministries
There's a place for everyone in our church family. People and children of all ages are encouraged to grow in their faith and take part in the life of the church, in our community and worldwide.
Timothy Ministry
Inspired by Paul's mentorship of Timothy, this ministry brings together counselors and emerging leaders who stand alongside our church elders. Members provide guidance, counsel, information, and practical support to church leadership, helping carry the work of the ministry with wisdom and faithfulness. Timothy Ministry members are elected by the congregation to serve a two-year term, investing in the health of the church today while preparing to lead tomorrow.
Title: Adoptive Families Ministry
Every child deserves to know the beauty of where they come from. The Adoptive Families Ministry welcomes families who have adopted children from Ethiopia and creates a warm space where those children can connect with their heritage, culture, and faith community. Through fellowship, worship, and cultural activities such as the traditional coffee ceremony, Ethiopian food, music, and dress, children and parents alike experience the richness of Ethiopian life together. Our church family is honored to walk alongside adoptive families, offering friendship, encouragement, and a place where their children are known, celebrated, and always belong. Each year, the ministry hosts a special Ethiopian Christmas (Genna) celebration on January 7, featuring worship, a coffee ceremony, a children's corner with cultural activities, face painting, a cultural showcase, an Ethiopian lunch, and free traditional Ethiopian clothing for the children.
Women's Ministry
A community where women grow deeper in faith and in friendship with one another. Through Bible study, prayer, mentoring, fellowship, and special events, women of every age and season of life are encouraged, equipped, and reminded that they are never walking alone.
Men's Ministry
A place for men to grow spiritually, sharpen one another, and build lasting brotherhood. Beyond weekly Bible study, service projects, and fellowship, men come together to learn and talk openly about the practical responsibilities of life, including parenting, health, estate planning, and financial education. We encourage men to lead with faith, wisdom, and integrity in their homes, workplaces, church, and community.
Family Ministry (Couples Group)
Strong families build a strong church. This ministry brings married couples together to study God's Word and learn practical wisdom on marriage, parenting, finances, and everyday family life. Couples find encouragement, honest conversation, and friendships that strengthen their homes for generations.
Young Adults Ministry
For young adults ages 18 to 30, this is a community to be encouraged, inspired, and challenged to live out faith in real life. Through Friday services, small group Bible studies, and special events, young adults find belonging, purpose, and friendships rooted in Christ.
